The Pharo Foundation is hiring an IT Officer in Assosa and Biology, Chemistry, and Physics Lab Assistants to support its programs in disadvantaged and marginalized communities in Africa. The Pharo Foundation focuses on four key areas: Education, Health, Water, Sanitation and Hygiene, and Agricultural development, to help communities become economically self-reliant. This role is open to Ethiopian nationals. The Pharo Foundation operates in various regions in Ethiopia, with a strong commitment to improving the lives of marginalized communities. As an IT Officer or Lab Assistant, you will be part of a team working to develop the skills, knowledge, and resources needed for economic self-reliance. You will work closely with other team members, reporting to the relevant program manager, and be part of a team of approximately 10-15 staff members. Assosa, the location of the IT Officer role, is a field office with limited internet and a harsh climate. The town has a growing economy, with a mix of agricultural and commercial activities. The cost of living in Assosa is relatively low, with decent housing available for ETB 10,000-20,000 per month. The town has a few international schools, but options are limited. As an IT Officer, you will need to be flexible and able to work in a challenging environment. In Addis Ababa, the headquarters of The Pharo Foundation, the cost of living is higher, with decent housing available for ETB 20,000-40,000 per month. The city has a mix of international schools, reliable internet, and a mild climate year-round. However, the Lab Assistant roles are not based in Addis Ababa, and the successful candidates will need to be willing to work in a field office.
